werd. haha, my first post was at 1.19am east coast US by the way
i actually liked this chapter a lot. It fills in a lot of holes and unanswered questions about the personalities and faces of the 5 kages.
It's pretty refreshing to see a girl kage (mizukage), especially since she's one of the 7 great ninja swordsmen. looks like she wields a double katana? i'm sure she can provide some insight about tobi/madara being that he was a former mizukage.
I had posted this a few weeks ago, but i had always wondered about Danzo's handicaps (damaged eye and hand). i assumed he was unable to perform most ninjutsu b/c he couldn't make seals. although i had never predicted it, it makes a lot of sense that danzo and oro were allies. both despised the 3rd and demonstrate unforgiving acts of darkness.
I'm happy to see all the new characters that are being introduced into the series. All the kage bodyguards must be ridiculously strong so i look forward to their contributions to the manga.
On the topic of new characters...
After the Killerbee/Sasuke fight, Killerbee mentions Sabu, leader of the Enka clan. does anyone have any idea about he/she/they? i guess they are a very strong clan since he speaks of them with such high regard.

So what can it mean. Again Kishi leaves a lot open for speculation.
Maybe the previous Mizukage (Madara) Made it look like he was killed, and she is missing him.
Or is it Madara transformed into the present Mizukage. I honestly don't think so. But you never know with Kishi.
The only thing we can be sure of is that only time will tell all. Hahahaha.
I love the way Kishi is throwing all these twists in the story. Lol

rain village isnt part of a country like fire country or other. so it doesnt have a kage.
nagato was the 'leader' of rain and now it is konan. they are not the kages.

I noticed that he is always being a punching bag for some of the girls. It's as if he has trouble hitting girls as well.

he introduced new characters, then show some of their powers. then just make his pupet do task according to story.
at the end erase them or forget about them. their are plenty of characters which are sometimes very important now i say most of the time in series are useless.
even the main characters sometimes become as side actors

I personally have lost all faith in Kishi as a writer. I liked were he was taking the story until the end of the Pain arc. Now his story is like something out of fanfiction Hell for hippies.
I thought Kishi was going to take his manga where other Shounen were afraid to go, now I realise he isn't going to do that.
Again, personally, I think the situations he is making are totally unrealistic, even for his own manga.

Yeah, but the thing is that if they translate that putting "marriagable age", then people would be too confused.
But in Japanese it seems konki has two meanings:
1. perserverance/tenacy
2. marriable age.
So she heard the second one, and I guess she got really mad because she has no partner (it seems).
WHat she heard: ".... That's why I declare the kids these days need some good-old-fashioned marriable age."
What he said:That's why I declare the kids these days need some good-old-fashioned tenacy."

Well for starters, I don't think Mizukage is Madara.
I think Madara was the former Mizukage. As we can see in page 8 Madara goes off in a separate direction than the meeting. I think that whatever moons eye plan may be. Madara will come out in the open now and start attacking whoever is in the way of his plans.
But mainly I think he will try to go after Naruto for screwing his plans up with Nagato.
When Zetsu told Sasgay that Naruto is probably even stronger than him. I think he was taunting Sasgay into fighting Naruto to prove his superiority. Because they know how vain Sasgay is.
But I have to say that Sasgay surprised me when he stated that he did not care about that.
But I think deep inside he did care, I just think he did not want Madara and Zetsu to know that.

It is said that the senju are a clan with a thousand technique.Only hashirama and Tobirama are the known men that carried the name senju.
At present only tsunade as the grandchild of the 1st is considered as senju.But as we go back to the history of Konoha,that it was formed by the senjuclan and Uchiha clan.So it is to be assumed that in Konoha if you are not an Uchiha then you are a senju..lol...

Confusion about Senju clan:
I think there's a mixup in the senju abilities in regards to the beasts. everyone seems to believe that the senju clan was able to control the bijuus. i don't think that's correct and some of the facts got a bit contorted.
The senju clan was led by Hashirama Senju, aka 1st Hokage. The reason why he was able to suppress the bijuus was because of his "kekke genkai" wood manipulation. ("kekke genkai" is in quotes b/c it's an ability that cannot be copied, except for yamato who underwent oro experiments). It is because of this wood release that the 1st can control the beasts. As we know, he was the originator and only person in existence (until yamato many years later) to be able to use wood, which is why he was elected hokage.
The wood release was a technique unique to only Hashirama at the time. The entire senju clan did not possess this ability, thus any ordinary senju clansman couldn't control a bijuu.
Senju in regards to Naruto:
It's possible that he may be a senju, but for now, that question remains unanswered. however, to those who believe he can control the fox simply because he's a senju, i urge you to reconsider. in other words, just because you're of a special clan, it doesn't guarantee you the strength to control a beast. hope that makes sense.
And about this "man... i'll kill you" quote
lol this isnt really important, but i'll put my opinion out. she took it as a sexist comment. by saying "you need a man", that suggests women are weaker and need a man to protect them. clearly, she's confident in herself and doesn't need anyone, especially a man, to defender herself.

With all due respect brother,i think that you have mixed up a little bit(or i am),because as far as i am concerned,Shodai's kekkegenkai "Mokuton Ninjutsu" did help him in controling a bijuu but it was not main reason of his doing so.He did it with his chakra.

i understand and agree with your point that the ninja's chakra aids in bijuu suppression. By no means am i saying that wood abilities by themselves are capable of suppressing bijuu chakra, but i just wanted to emphasize that bijuu suppression is (i'm assuming) impossible without wood release unless with the use of a sharingan or sealing technique (4th's sacrifice). In other words, wood techniques are the reason a ninja can connect with a beast, but the ninja itself is the one who manipulates the chakra to control it.
basically, the wood is the bridge that connects the beast to the ninja, and the ninja himself is the one who controls the beast. i just don't think we can ignore the fact that wood is a necessary component for controlling a beast (unless you have a sharingan or some sort of sealing technique like the 4th).
Being a senju by itself doesn't grant you the power to control a beast. one must have the necessary skills to control it. If you are a senju w/o wood techniques, in my opinion, i doubt you can control a bijuu. this is why i doubt naruto can tame the fox simply b/c he's a senju. when naruto learns to harness the fox's power, it'll be thru respect/honor/loyalty, not a family name.

hello everybody,
It has been a while,
I have been reading every week and really enjoying the story development. The 7 swordsmen has always been something that has interested me.
Have another look at the Manga this week, both of the swords are somewhat similar to very aggressive looking can openers AND at the very base of the hilt, there is a cord/chain/wire connecting them, so perhaps when it is being used they connect together to form a bō staff.
In any case when hawk attacks, I can see Suigetsu going one on one with him to claim that sword.
And on that note, Hawk I feel will not have nearly enough power to take down not only the 5 Kage’s, but also the 10-15 plus jounin level and or higher shinobi that are accompanying them. Unless there is some new development that we do not know about yet, maybe Zetsu’s true power or something amazing like that, Maybe Madara during the battle might sync Sasuke with the gedo mazo statue (spelling?).
I have had some thoughts about the fight coming up. In the past when it was first summoned the Gedo Mazo statue’s dragon was enough to annihilate all enemies in a short time. It would be a useful last resort if the plan did not succeed like first thought for hawk. Also i remember in the Nagato v Naruto fight, (I was curious of this at the time and wrote of it) He claims that the moon was created by the first sage of 6 paths. Now something that large and sent so far away, it must of been astonishing what was that evil/bad that deemed such a prison. Maybe like the forth discovered with the 9 tails there was just to much power trying to be overcome so as a means to an end the Bijuu were created and only when they were reunited would that provide the key to unlock the moon and bring that great evil back into the earthly shinobi world. Because the obstacles to reach set goal is the gaining of the 8 and 9 tails and a new host to link gedo mazo too.
I was also thinking Danzo really doesn’t like the fact that Naruto is a hero. One scenario is this, like the third let Orochimaru escape. Naruto may do the same when hawk fails to kill the kage’s. He may be injured or have his life threaten mortally and Naruto may step in to save his friends life. In spite of this Danzou throws Naruto into exile where he would meet killer bee. He has mastered the ways of sage, the ways of Jinchuuriki are still completely foreign to him and once he has obtained mastery of being a Sage, Jinchuuriki and shinobi, geese what a way to finish it all off !
There is still a large amount of story available here and I am getting very excited.

I have a theory
what is the greatest achievement of the sharingan? I think it is the ability to control and summon the nine tails.
now Madara wants to 'restore' the glory of sharingan. That can mean that he wants to control something that powerful and through it show the power of the uchiha.
If we agree with Sagara's theory of a bijuu encased in the moon, then we have some clue. Maybe with all the bijuu as sacrifice Madara may unlock the evil that is inside the moon.

Gedo Mazu: This jutsu is used by Pain and the other members of Akatsuki to forcibly drain the spirit and chakra of the Tailed Beasts from their still-living Jinchūriki, then seal it in what appears to be the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path with its eyes covered(the one used by Nagato on Hanzou and Danzou). Kisame Hoshigaki comments that it "takes longer without Orochimaru". Zetsu also claimed that with so few people left to perform the jutsu, it would take a while.
To prepare for the jutsu, Pain summons the sealing statue and each member stands on one of its fingers, corresponding to their specific ring finger.. Each of the Akatsuki members concentrates, causing the kanji of their rings to appear on the nail of the finger they're standing on. Nine dragon-like effigies then pour from the statue's mouth, surround the captured host, and remove the Tailed Beast from them (the process seems quite agonizing to the host). After the process is complete, the beast is sealed within the statue, and one of the statue's nine eyes opens. The host then dies because of the removal of their Tailed Beast. The beasts must be sealed in a specific order with the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox being sealed last, or the statue would shatter
Apparently, it seems that the rest of Akatsuki can still perform this jutsu, even without Pain being present.However, with Nagato now dead, Madara claimed that they need a new pawn to synchronize with the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path in order to seal the Eight and Nine Tailed Beasts.

So for all ye people out there:
1. The Gedo Mazu can not be used as a weapon right now because it was modified as a sealing jutsu.It can not be use until all 9 tailed beast are sealed.So stop saying that they will use it.It will be used but not NOW!
2. it was originally Nagato's technique but since all the Akatsuki was "SYNC" to it then apparently anyone of them can summon it.
3. "SYNC" it mean establishing connection with Gedo Mazu.So stop bitching and saying that something special will happen if Sasuke sync with Gedo Mazu.The reason they want to sync it is because they are short of people now.Remember with only Orochimaru missing before,they already had a difficult sealing the biju,just imagine now that 6 akatsuki are dead
4.The reason that Madara is hesitant to sync Sasuke with the Gedo Mazu is he dont trust Sasuke "not yet" becasue the Gedo Mazu is very important to Madara that he is afraid that SSasuke will do ssomething stupid to it once they were sync.

1.The original Gedo Mazu was used to absorbed soul.They modified the jutsu by covering the eyes of the statue.therefore rendering it blind. The sync Akatsuki then act as the eyes of the statue and concentrate only on the biju/host and extract it.
2.Remember people the 9 tailed beat should be sealed in order or the statue will be shattered.

I read somewhere the origins of the sharrigan were from The Byakugan (A woman)and a demon in human form producing children.
Any ones thoughts?
because ti is stated that the Sharrigna is a by product of the byakugan.
also would explain why some consider the Uchiha being on levels far beyond the norml, with large amounts fo stamina, chakra and amazing eye techniques.
So in theory to have a demonic lineage, when the Kyuubi spoke of it, he calle dit a cursed bloodline. Perhaps the Curse was in the demonic and dark meathods they achieved thier power and one day it would come back to bite them inthe arse.
For every action there is an equal or opposite reaction. TO have had such great power and to by called gos amung men, perhaps it was never meant to be for ever and fate is catching up with them all.

but ron, madara implies that Nagato was nothign more than a pawn to him. After his death He needs another pawn then continues to say that sasuke is that pawn. I think to activley use Gedo Mazu it needs to be linked to a person in the living. Nagato was its link, His body was sacrificed in order to use it. Maybe what makes sasuke so important as apawn is his sharringan. DOnt ask me why but when he uses the word pawn, paws are eaily sacrificed and usually no second thoguht ab3out it. So maybe yes madara and co could summon it , but only because it was linked to the living Nagato.

The whole process of sealing explain the "RING" owned by each Akatsuki.During the sealing process each one will stand on the fingers designated by their respective rings.The ring signifies that they are already in "SYNC" with the statue.I noticed that there were 9 Akatsuki but there are 10 fingers.So it is assumed that even then that extra vacant finger was actually for Tobi/Madara

Sharingan IS an evolved form of Byakugan. Kishimoto himself stated that. look at narutopedia.
i said previously that if naruto and hinata have children they may possess the sharingan.because byakugan combined with the chakra of nine tails may produce sharingan.

PAWN yes in fact all the Akatsukis are PAWN of Madara.First he used nagatos jutsu and turn it as a sealing jutsu.Now that he is SYNC to it,he dont actually needs Nagato in summoning it.BUT he still needs 9 people to perdorm the RITUAL.That was the purpose of the 9 original Akatsuki.they were just pawns.Do the math (9 orininal akatsuki + Madara =10 Fingers of the Statue).Madara can not seal the tailed beast alone even if he can summon Gedo Mazu.He needs people,He needs PAWNS.and thats why he needed Sasuke.

if i remember it right, grandma chiyo during gaara kidnapping arc said that to extract a tailed beast requires tremendous amount of chakra to counter the beast's chakra. the ten fingers of the statue may just be arbitrary. 2 or 3 ninjas could do extraction but they may need a lot of chakra. no. of ninjas in sync is directly proportional to the chakra made available and inversely proportional to the time required to extract the beast. less no of ninja synced =less chakra = more time needed to extract the beast. hence madara needs more manpower.

MAJOR ULTIMATE NARUTO MANGA 455 PREDICTION:
Chapter starts off with the Plant guy leading Group Hawk to the kage summit and they are just outside of the meeting, planning an iminent attack on Danzo!!!!
Mean while at the Kage discussion, Raikage is in a fury explaining how they must work together to stop the group known as Akatsuki, side note: "they have taken my brother--host for the 8tails and i will have my vengenance!" Danzo speaks: I am in agreement with the village of Thunder, This group has been wreaking havoc on all of the villages and they are planning something big with gathering all of the tailed beasts, we have no choice but to stop them!! I would ask all of you to help protect our kyuubi, for he is all that is left between Akatsuki's goal, and their down fall!!... Gaara is silently viewing this conversation ( wondering what has happened to Tsunade?? and who is this Danzo character??) Mizukage offers her nin to help protect the kyuubi.. and when she offers her help, as this happens, they are all in agreement, and the very next moment, black flames envelop the building they are in, as soon as Sasuke see's Danzo, he focuses his flames on their target, Sasuke thinks( DIE DANZO< THIS IS FOR MY BROTHER) as soon as the flames head towards Danzo, two things happen at the same time, Raikage sees the boy who took his precious brother and charges towards Sasuke !! and on of Danzo's elite nin's steps in front of the flames to give Danzo time to run for it, ( he escapes the flames, due to Raikages shocking power, ( he uses a combination of THUNDER AND WIND style jutsu which shoots out a current of air vibrating with extremely powerful ligthing towards sasuke and the hawk group!!! ( this jutsu is somewhat like Neji air palm fist except it is at a larger scale and the wind is sweltering with rippling energy that actually looks like a dense thuder storm coming straight at you) WHERE IS MY BROTHER YOU BRAT KID!!!!!
